About me
Hi, and thanks for stopping by. This is the short version for recruiters and hiring managers, and a quick guide to getting around this portfolio.
In one line
I am Nate, a Thai graphic and UI/UX designer who recently made the jump from over a decade of creative and editorial work in Bangkok. I retrained in Interactive Media Design at Fanshawe College, and I build what I design.
Why the change
I had always wanted to know how online platforms are built, and the timing was right to learn it in the field, the only place you really understand it. My background carries straight over: whatever the platform, a brand needs a clear voice, and design does the same job, showing who the brand is and making people fall in love with it. I bring years of brand voice, art direction and print production from magazines, books and social channels to every design I make. The world keeps changing, and that showed me how much hands-on work is still worth, and that I still love thinking through a design and making it myself. So I want to bring what I know to a team that trusts me to work with them.
Looking for
A hands-on graphic design, UI/UX or web design role in a product or agency team, a small business or a printing company. I live in London, Ontario, and I am open to on-site roles within an hour’s drive. I hold a Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP), so I can work full time for any employer in Canada without sponsorship.
Where to look first
- Website Design: three sites I designed and coded, each with a live preview.
- Graphic Design: social posts, menus, print and logos I made for companies.
- Experience: every role I have had, newest first, each with a short summary.
- Resume: my skills and tools, and the PDF to download.
Thank you for taking the time to look through my work. I would love to hear from you.
Nate
